How long will personal data be processed

What type of personal data will be collected and used

Personal information provided in your CV and cover letter: name, address, mobile number, email address, birth date/personal ID number/age, gender, education, qualifications, employment history, educational history, academic results, social media accounts, profession, professional memberships, educational achievements, transcripts, languages, hobbies and interests, and personal response to the application questions. As well as, any personal data provided to us about you by your referees (if applicable)

What special categories of personal data will be collected and used

We will use your sensitive personal data only in so far as we are permitted by Law to do so: we will use data about your nationality or ethnicity, to assess whether a work permit and a visa will be necessary for the role

Legal basis for processing your personal data

Processing is based on your consent. We will retain your personal data for a period of 12 months after your application date (if your application is unsuccessful, we shall retain your personal data for 3 months after the position has been filled.) We retain your personal data for this length of time to support, in the event of a legal claim, that candidates have not been discriminated against and that the recruitment process was conducted in a fair and transparent way. Further, we wish to retain such personal data in case a similar role becomes vacant for which you could be a fitting candidate
If you become employed by SKAGEN, we will need to store personal data on you in order to comply with legal obligations and to fulfil the employment contract. You will receive detailed information about this in due course

HR personnel, hiring manager, other employees involved in the recruitment process

Transfer of data to non-EU/EEC country or international organisation, and safeguards (if applicable)

Data will not be transfered outside of the EEA

You may at any time retract your consent to our handling of your data. Through sending a written statement to kama@skagenfondene.no, within one week your personal data will be permanently deleted from our files. We will send a confirmational email following this processes' completion.
