As our new Employee you will be part of a team who develops and improve production lines for our world-class electronic products and solutions.  

 

Join us in developing our next generation products and solutions 

We are in the starting phase of a brand-new project to develop the next generation of DSRC solutions to enable Q-Free to pursue our vision in a market with increased demands on flexibility, speed, and complexity for HW, FW, and SW alike. In our Supply Chain department, we are now specifying our new world class, high-volume production line in Singapore. A key requirement for the project is to find more sustainable solutions for production and delivery for the future.  
 
We are now looking for a junior Software Engineer to further strengthen our team. 

 
How we work 

Our daily work is very varied and covers a wide range of tasks, e.g.: industrialization of new products, improving existing production processes, implement graphical user interfaces for operators, develop and implement production tests, implement modules for instrument integration and signaling. Our production framework covers everything from GUI/Web, through databases, and all the way to binary protocols to instruments or other HW. The main application is written in Python and runs on Linux. 

We are a small and agile team, who enjoys working together, and you will get to work with experienced software and hardware developers.  

 
Key responsibilities 

  • Developing our in-house full-stack test and production application.  
  • Industrialize our new products 
  • Optimize our existing production. 
  • Support our production partners in Norway and Singapore.
     

 

Required qualifications and skills 

  • BSc, MSc or equivalent education/knowledge within software development.
  • Strong interest in one or more of the following areas:  Linux, Python, C#, MySQL, git, DevOps, Jenkins, pyQT, Scrum, Kanban, Agile, Test-Driven Development.
  • Experience with hardware is an advantage, but not mandatory. 
  • Good communication skills in English and preferably in a Scandinavian language. 
  • Knowledge or interest in sustainable supply chain or ESG is an advantage
