Area of Responsibility The R&D center at Sunndalsøra has a strong R&D environment to support the commercial organisation and the casthouses in developeing new products for customers, otimising production processes for reductions in energy consumtion and melt loss. Recycling of post consumed aluminium scrap becomes increasingly important. We are deeply involved in development programs on alloys being specially designed for higher recycling content as well as developing tools and technologies for our production units enabling increased recycling. During the internship you will have the opportunity to work at our research centre with real R&D projects together with top researchers and experts in the field of aluminium recycling, direct chill casting of aluminium, aluminium alloy development for extrusion profiles and foundry applications and aluminium melting operation.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of completed studies within areas such as Materials Science, or Physical or Process Metallurgy.
