About SES-X Marine Technologies

SES-X is a marine technology company developing hull technology, ship designs and control systems for our ground-breaking SES technology. Our mission is to enable the green revolution on water. Internship openings:

1.Naval Architect students (2 positions)

We are continuously developing and improving tools for analyzing resistance and hydrodynamics for our vessel concepts. These tools are calibrated based on measurements from our full-scale test vessels. We seek analytical candidates for a summer internship of testing, developing and applying state-of-the-art analysis- and simulation tools, contribute in full scale measurement campaigns and contribute in shaping next generation hulls.

Your responsibilities can include:

• Review and apply relevant numerical models and tools
• Review and contribute in test campaign specifications, as applicable
• Take part in full scale tests and measurements as relevant, incl. data logging and retrieval
• Process and report on measurements

Recommended profile and experience:

• 3rd and 4th year students in naval architecture / marine technology
• Strong analytical skills
• Programming experience in python or similar is preferable
• Independent and passionate about the future of ship technology 

2.Market and strategy (2 positions)

We are looking for motivated strategy interns to support us on our journey to shape the company into an international success story. You will take an active part in setting the strategic direction for the company by connecting the dots between market insight and our growth ambitions. You will work with researching and analyzing market trends, market offerings, competitive landscape, pricing and business models.

 Your responsibilities can include:

• Conduct market research of target markets and geographies, consolidate and analyze data into actionable information
• Map commercial opportunities in target markets
• Due diligence work on suppliers, partners, and yards
• Develop business cases for operational initiatives

Recommended profile and experience:

• 3rd or 4th year students within business administration, industrial economics, marine technology or similar
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis either from school or work
• Interest for strategy and business development
• Collaborative attitude

3.Software developer (2 positions)

A part of our strategy is to deliver digital systems to increase the efficiency, reliability and safety of our vessels. We have big ambitions, and are seeking highly skilled, motivated and self-driven students to contribute in creating revolutionary vessels. Do you want to join us writing software that will cut emissions?

Your responsibilities can include design and implementation of:

• Over-the-air software upgrade system
• Ride control system
• Onboard user interface
• Other various software components on the vessel and in our cloud environment
• Web dashboard
• Remote monitoring system
• Machine learning algorithms enabling more fuel-efficient control

Recommended profile and experience:

• 3rd and 4th year students within cybernetics, data science, informatics, industrial design
• Motivated and self-driven with interest for software development
• Experience with one or more of: Linux, network/VPN, AWS, C++, CoDeSys, Front-end, Back-end, embedded systems, PLC Programming
