The Control System Department in FMC Technologies is a multidisciplinary technical environment, supplying control and monitoring systems to subsea facilities for production of oil and gas. The Computer Systems Engineering & Supply group is responsible for engineering and delivery of Electrical and Software products to control systems in international projects.
Main tasks:
Technical Trainee, Computer Systems:
•A 2 year trainee program, tailored for developing technical competence and system understanding of the trainee within Computer Systems and related products for Subsea Production Systems.
•This will include;
◦Technical courses and seminars
◦Detail engineering: Real-life work tasks with several products within Computer Systems and products interfacing the Computer Systems.
◦Participation in different types of tests to provide system understanding and hands-on experience.
•After completion of the trainee period, the trainee shall have sufficient competence to start as a Technical Responsible, Computer Systems.
Technical Responsible, Computer Systems:
•Overall technical responsible for the Computer System in projects
◦Technical single point of contact between Project and Computer System project team
◦Responsible for the technical follow-up of the Computer System engineers in the project
•Responsible for requirements handling of the Computer System during project execution
◦Identify, follow up and evaluate changes to requirements
◦Ensure a common understanding between the customer and FMC related to the requirements
◦Ensure that the requirements are attained during project execution and deliverables
•Participate in technical coordination of interfaces to the Computer System
•Technical support and participation during tests
Qualifications and personal qualities required:
•M.Sc. within Electrical Engineering , Cybernetics or Computer Science
•Interest and ability for both hands-on and teorethical work
•Highly motivated and eager to learn
•Ability to work systematically and independently in a hectic environment
•Enterprising, with good implementation and cooperation skills
•Good oral and written presentation skills in English, and ability to work in a multicultural environment
