In Sunndal, Hydro owns and operates the largest and one of the most modern primary aluminium plants in Europe. Our main products are extrusion ingots and primary foundry alloys which are used extensively in for example the car manufacturing industry. In addition to value added aluminium production, Sunndal is also one of our research and development hubs with extensive expertise in casthouse operations.
An internship at Hydro gives valuable experience from a large, dynamic and international company. As an intern we give you real tasks you can grow with and ability to learn from experienced colleagues.
The role
For this this summer, we can offer internship positions at Sunndal plant.
You will get a project where you will work with experienced colleagues, focusing on technical solutions, operational, process or quality related topics.
Key accountabilities
Minimum three years of completed studies within areas such as Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Light Metal Production, Mathematics, Physics, Cybernetics, Industrial Economics & Technology management
Good academic results
Engagement through student activities
Good communication and cooperation skills
Proactive and result oriented attitude
Fluency in English, Norwegian or other Scandinavian language
