Summer Internship - Materials and Corrosion

We are currently seeking technical candidates to experience Shell directly through a student internship. Our internships are an assessed route into Shell where you will gain firsthand experience of what it’s like to work within a global energy company. It gives you full day-to-day involvement in actual projects, selected to match your interests and abilities. Succeed in your assessed internship and you could be offered a role in our Graduate Programme after you have completed your master’s degree. The Shell Graduate programme provides an industry leading development framework which gives graduates the opportunity to become experts in a broad range of technical areas. Right from day one, our Graduates are responsible and accountable for deliverables, work within diverse teams and are involved in different business areas. The internship is located at our main office in Stavanger, and examples of work areas could be:
  • Gather and collate historical test data on new proprietary alloys developed to accommodate more extreme reservoir conditions (high pressure&temperature, HP/HT, high H2S – sour service)
  • Investigate all available information on tubing and fittings in dissimilar materials, with emphasis on 6Mo tubing with 316 fittings. The aim is to conclude that this combination of materials is either safe or unsafe
  • Desires skills and experience

    We are looking for master degree students within the Civil & Structural discipline in their fourth year of university. This includes master programs within the areas of civil engineering or its equivalent. At Shell, you will enjoy a range of rewards and benefits:

  • This internship in AS Norske Shell is located at our main office in Stavanger. The start- and end-date are flexible, but the internships regularly last from 6-12 weeks during the summer period.
