The position we offer As part of the Nordea Graduate Programme we are looking for highly driven candidates for our trading floor in Oslo. The programme runs for 12 months and you will be working closely with senior sales managers, strategic analysts and researchers within foreign exchange, interest rates and fixed income markets. You need to have the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks, often with short deadlines, as well as a drive to constantly improve and develop. We have high demands, but you can expect to get just as much in return. Your daily work will, among other things, include: • Doing quantitative and qualitative analysis work related to our business areas • Close integration with senior employees and customers in identifying, assessing and managing our customers’ financial risk exposure • Taking part in the development and support of various presentations, reports and analysis models • Being responsible for the structuring, analysing and reporting of various business activities in Nordea Markets • Being involved in the day to day activities of the FX, Derivatives and Fixed Income teams so that you can grow to fill a future position in one of our core business-lines In time we expect you to continue your development within one of our business areas as a sales manager, analyst or researcher. The qualifications you need We expect you to have an academic degree at Master’s level, preferably related to finance, and a strong interest in financial markets. However, good grades dont cut it alone. More than anything else we look for the right attitude. You need to be confident, self-driven and have a mind-set to constantly improve and develop yourself. Things tend to get busy at our office, so to succeed you must thrive on working in a high-pressure environment and not be afraid to put your heart and soul into your work and get things done. Also, we expect you to be able to tick off the following qualifications: • Positive mindset and an outgoing personality • Ability to work with several things at the same time • An analytical mindset • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, MS Excel in particular • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral Furthermore, you need to pass an ability test where your numerical, verbal and inductive capabilities will be tested. The position also requires a permanent work permit in Norway.
