To strengthen our investment management team in Arendal, Gard is looking for an experienced professional with background in financial modelling within investment management. High potential graduates may also be considered. The primary responsibilities will include:

• Financial risk modelling in relation to internal risk models. Prior knowledge to modelling concepts within the Solvency II framework and implementation will be an advantage. Additionally, former use of a third-party Economic Scenario Generator’s, will also be a strength.
  
  
• Participate in the preparation of financial reports to the management, governing bodies, regulators and other relevant parties.
  
  
• Participate in the investment strategy construction and implementation process.
  
  
• Portfolio analysis, planning and execution.
  
  
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  
  
• Take part in the day to day operation of liquidity and risk management.

Skills and requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Higher university degree in finance, engineering, economics, or related fields with first-class achievements.
  
  
• CFA or AFA would be an advantage.
  
  
• Relevant experience, preferably from institutional investments.
  
  
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and experience with tools such as Matlab, R, Python etc. would be a strength.
  
  
• Excellent skills in time management and multi-tasking.
  
  
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill in both English and Norwegian.
