The Data Science team holds a key role at Urban Sharing. We develop tools, algorithms and models to support both strategic and operational decisions. The team provides analyses to all parts of our company to help us become more data-driven throughout. We believe the future of urban mobility will be shaped by those who understand how to utilize data effectively.

As a summer intern you will join data science team to solve a great variety of analytical tasks. As a growing company, our priorities can often shift from one focus to another. You should come with a degree of flexibility and be willing to develop your professional skills.

We run our stack on Google Cloud. You will work with Google’s cutting-edge technology like BigQuery, DataPrep, DataFlow and ML-Engine to process and understand data. It is not a requirement that you have experience with these products, but you must be ready and willing to learn.

We’re looking for someone who

• have completed 3+ years of study in a data science related field;
• are familiar with SQL and Python;
• are fluent in both Norwegian and English;
• want to developing machine learning models and/or optimization models that solve real-world problems;
• can dive into a fast-paced work environment and work independently with analytical tasks; and
• are genuinely interested in understanding and improving urban mobility.
