We’re hiring! We are now looking for graduates to join us in our Oslo offices. Who you are? You are a student in your last year at University preparing yourself to take the training wheels off and try out what you have learned. The Position

We are hiring a Data Scientist to strengthen our analytics and product development capabilities. As a Data Scientist at Unacast, you will help drive a data-first culture across the company. Your main tasks will be to analyze and visualize data, design, implement and improve our insight products. Our Data Scientists work closely with the product owners to add new features and improve the quality and accuracy of our existing offerings.

You will work in an autonomous team consisting of engineers, product managers, sales representatives, and other data scientists.

We run our technical stack on Google Cloud, and you will get the chance to work with Google’s cutting-edge technology, like BigQuery and DataFlow, to process, store and understand data. We're not demanding that you have a lot of experience with them, all we ask is that you are willing to learn something new every day.

Responsibilities

    • Turn raw location data into consumable insight products using various tools including visual analysis, rules and machine learning
    • Further improve methodologies for data analysis and data modeling
    • Communicate ideas, results and findings to clients, partners, and internally
    • Make sure our data continues to hold the highest standard in the market
    • Help uncover the full potential of new and existing data sources

Minimal requirements

    • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or similar
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Coding skills for data transformation and analysis using languages such as SQL, Python, R, or other
    • Some experience with data visualization
    • Passionate about working with large datasets
