Speiz - Join us in solving the problem of unused space in commercial real estate  

The real estate and construction industry is responsible for 40% of the worlds total emissions each year. At the same time, millions of square meters of commercial space are for various reasons left unused for shorter or longer periods each year. This unused space means C02 emissions without any good use-purpose and it means lost revenue for building owners. 

Meanwhile, demand for commercial real estate space is growing at unprecedented rates. For some reason demand is at an all time high while millions of available square meters are not considered or even included in todays market. 

At Speiz we believe the market for commercial space is not functioning as it could due to lack of access to structured and updated market information. By gathering and structuring data and market information we will optimise the market and make it more sustainable, both with regards to the environment and with regards to businesses and their bottom-line. 

We are now building a smart platform that will connect owners and users of commercial space within the warehouse, storage and logistics space industry. Our platform reduces the amount of unused space, it provides building owners with more revenue and it helps clients find the most optimal solution when looking for warehouse, storage or logistics space. We have already partnered with some of Norways biggest real estate companies and we are expanding our portfolio of partners and clients weekly. 

The team - Speizers

Speiz team consists of 2 co-founders, Paulius and Sondre, with previous entrepreneurship experience in FMCG, Fintech, law and real-estate development. The team also includes a part-time CFO(management consultant with previous startup experience) and a working board member(CEO of a soon to be unicorn start-up in the UK and Forbes 30 under 30).

You will be able to take part in meetings with all of our investors and our dedicated advisors Trond Gunnar Christensen (Founder of Urban Sharing), Henrik Botten Taubøll (Nordic Director of WeWork) and others.   

Position - Internship

We are looking for highly analytical and self-driven people that strive to develop their professional skills and like working towards hairy goals with a trial and error approach. 

It is beneficial if you have experience with creating and structuring databases, coding, or just have a strong interest in technology,  real estate, data or analytics. 

Other than that we would like to get to know you and see if Speiz could be a good fit! 

Although this job listing is somewhat vague, the way we work is not. 

Your goals, progress and development will be structured through OKR methodology in collaboration with the founding team. Your personal goals and objectives will be directly linked to the high level strategic goals of the company. We will set high expectations for you and your performance and we will expect you to do the same towards us as your colleagues.

• Responsibility - We work with OKRs and will set up your objectives and goals with you. Once your OKRs are set, it will be up to you how you want to meet them.  
• Experience - You will learn a lot. Startup life very different from a corporate set-up. You will learn how to acquire customers, startup growth essentials, how startup funding rounds are structured, what it takes and how to raise funds and much more. We will help you develop your professional skills - We hope you want to continue using them with Speiz after the internship is over.
