BCG Gamma designs and builds powerful analytics-based solutions designed to help our clients tackle their most pressing business problems. We are an interdisciplinary team of data scientists and BCG consultants, collectively delivering a unique combination of domain expertise, analytics know-how, and leading technologies. Our teams own the full analytics value chain end to end: framing new business challenges, building fact-based, designing innovative algorithms, creating scale through creating tools and apps, and training colleagues and clients in new solutions.

We are seeking talented students with advanced analytics experience to start an exciting consultant career within BCG Gamma in the Nordics . Visiting Data Scientist role provides an opportunity to design and build analytics methodologies, solutions, and products to deliver extraordinary value to BCG's clients in collaboration with consultants from other BCG practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• We are looking for students-only candidates with excellent academic achievements in a field linked to computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or related data-centric areas
• Relevant data science experience in industry or consulting (internships)
• Strong passion for data science topics
• Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinkers, creative problem solvers
• Strong interpersonal credibility, reliability, and service mentality, high ethical standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Technical competencies

• Some experience in core analytic methods (e.g. Machine Learning/Deep Learning, Optimization/Operational Research, Geoanalytics, Predictive Modeling, Autonomous Agents, Network Analysis, etc.)
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Data management; Analytics platforms / Programming – e.g. Python, R; Data Visualization, etc.)
• Experience in applied analytics for business problem solving/experience building analytical solutions
