About the opportunity
As an intern at FSN Capital Partners you will be an integral part of the investment team and gain insight into the steps of an investment’s lifecycle: sourcing – value creation – divestment. You will play an important role on teams taking on significant responsibility and should be able to see beyond numbers and think creatively. Responsibilities will include:


  • Prepare and perform analysis of financial and industry data, which is used as a basis for company analysis for prospective transactions and development of portfolio companies
  • Create financial models, draft presentations and investment memorandums
  • Attend team discussions and meetings


The internship position offers a unique opportunity to strengthen and develop skills necessary for a successful career in principal investment, management consulting or investment banking. As a 12-month full-time internship, this is also an opportunity to take a full year break from University to prepare for further studies or a full-time job. Former interns have moved on to studies at e.g. MIT, Oxford and LSE following the internship, as well as full-time positions at e.g. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, McKinsey & Co, Boston Consulting Group. Furthermore, five of our current Investment Professionals are former Private Equity Interns at FSN Capital Partners.  

The internship will be based in Oslo, but you will get the opportunity to work with staff from all offices. The intended timeline for the internship is August 2022 to June 2023, but other timelines can be considered for the right candidates.

Our ideal Private Equity Intern

  • Will be comfortable working with numbers, show a strong drive and excellent communication skills, as well as showing strong integrity, and a humble personality that goes well with people across all levels
  • Has completed the 2nd year bachelor’s degree within business, economics, engineering or similar with good academic record
  • Has entrepreneurial spirit, is a true team player, and has genuine interest in working with and developing businesses
  • Is fluent in Norwegian and English, and has previous experience with MS PowerPoint and Excel
