Orkla Foods Norge is a diverse food-company with deep roots and understanding for the Norwegian customers preferences and needs. Some of our products and brands are 50-60 years old like Stabbur-Makrell, TORO, Nora and Grandiosa while other products and brands like Naturli’ are newly launched to fulfill new consumer trends and needs. Every summer we recruit around 50 interns that will work across different departments in Orkla. Our goal for the internship is to be fun and exciting but also a place where our interns can learn valuable skills that will help them in their future careers. Throughout the summer there will be held social events and gatherings for the interns to also get to know each other in a fun, out-of-office environment. This will be a paid internship running for 8 weeks (including 2 weeks unpaid leave) between June and August. Some travel may be required in certain positions.

 What will you do? 

• Activities related to our on-going product development projects. Examples are the making of product prototypes to test different ingredients and tastes or cooking instructions 
• Research and in-depth studies to find opportunities in raw materials, product properties or packaging possibilities, always focusing on sustainability 
• Trendspotting and transfer of trends to product ideas 
• Product analyzes and benchmarks both for our own products and/or competitors 
• You will have a local mentor who can support you throughout the summer 

Who are you? 

• 4th year Master’ student, specialized within food science. 
• Interest for product development, nutrition, packaging development and sustainability.  
• Brave, Inspiring and Trustworthy! 
• Analytical, goal oriented and ability to work independently as well as in a team. 
• A good relationship builder, and able to communicate across organizations and different levels.  
• Adaptable, positive, and problem solving.
