The Hydro Graduate Program - The starting point for your Hydro career
In Hydro we have focus on hiring and developing the workforce of tomorrow. Every year we have several Graduate positions, where we are looking for young professionals early in their careers. All positions are permanent, within different business units and areas of expertise, but all graduate positions will take part in the graduate program.

Graduate Vedlikeholdsingeniør– Husnes
Hydro Husnes is one of 5 Hydro smelters in Norway and is located at the end of beautiful Hardangerfjord surrounded by magnificent mountains. The plant har currently about 340 employees and produces 200.000 tonnes of electrolysis metal cast into press bolt and Hyforge.

The technical department´s main task is to ensure stable production and required uptime on all equipment at the plant. Organization of the department is divided into the following areas: 

• Central maintenance; maintenance within the disciplines mechanical, automation and crane. 
• Vehicle workshop; maintenance on special vehicles 
• Infrastructure; maintenance and operation within the disciplines of high voltage, water supply and buildings 
• Technical support & Projects; engineer support and project execution 

As a maintenance engineer you will have a key role in supporting all these areas to ensure stable production and uptime on our equipment, work with continuous improvement and participate in our strategy work within digitalization and industry 4.0.

Area of responsibility
The maintenance engineer will have in key role within technical department where some of the task and responsibilities are:

• Actively contribute in the maintenance department’s safety work 
• Continuous improvement and optimization within all areas in maintenance / technical department
• Development, improvement and optimization of maintenance program
• Risk analysis and risk assessments
• Maintenance analysis based on data collection from Safir/SAP and other systems
• Development and improve 1. line operator maintenance 
• Follow up compliance with laws and regulations within the area of maintenance

Qualifications

• Master´s degree within RAMS or maintenance
• Maximum 2 years of work experience after graduation 
• Good academic results 

Personal Traits

• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Engagement and interest within the field of maintenance 
• Structured, proactive and positive

Additional information
The candidate will be part of the technical department and report directly to technical manager.
