As a Finance and Strategy Summer Intern, you will be part of the Investment Analysis and Strategy teams. The position is located at Aker Offshore Wind HQ in Fornebu, Oslo.

The Role

Aker Offshore Wind is offering an Offshore Wind Finance and Strategy Summer Internship and are searching for a student to work with us during summer 2022.

Specific tasks will be tailored to the candidate’s profile and the needs of Aker Offshore Wind, but will fall under one or any of the categories below:

Strategy development and implementation

• Assist to facilitate and coordinate strategy development processes
• Assist with detailing our strategic initiatives
• Support M&A processes
• Support other strategic initiatives, e.g., partnership development, digitalization, intellectual property, sustainability etc.

Investment analysis

• Financial modelling, valuation analysis and review of due diligence material for new investment opportunities
• Market analysis of offshore wind and other energy markets

Other

• Facilitate and prepare Management reporting
• Build advanced modelling tools for e.g., risk management and operations and maintenance strategies

Our team will support and guide you along the way, although we also expect you to be able to work independently.

We have a long-term view on our recruitment, and upon completion of the internship there could be an opportunity for writing your master thesis for us and potentially taking on a full-time position once you graduate.

Who are you?

We are looking for candidates who possess most of the following skills and experiences:

• 4th year engineering or finance students who will graduate summer 2023 (this is a strict requirement that must be adhered to)
• Students primarily within the following disciplines: Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Industrial Economics and Technology Management, Applied Physics and Mathematics, Marine Technology, Electrical Power, Mechanical Engineering or other related studies
• Strong academic results
• Enjoy working in a multi-discipline, fast paced and agile work environment
• Good problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset
• Proactive and independent, with the ability to work in a structured manner, juggling a variety of tasks and projects with both short and long deadlines
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present and communicate complex matters
• Programming skills (e.g. Python)
