GREENER initiatives – Klaveness Ship Management

Klaveness Ship Management have a more than 75-year long history of innovation within the shipping industry, spanning from numerous specialized inhouse vessel designs, new business concepts and unique logistical solutions. We have over the last 10 years designed and followed up the constructions of 25 new vessels and managed more than 35 vessels in operation. We have today technical management of 24 vessels employed in global trades.

We are today determined on improving our vessels, with special focus on technology and sustainability. We are now opening for a summer internship for a motivated first year master student (4th year student on integrated master programs) to join us on these efforts.

The right candidate must be interested in ship technology and be able to study, understand and empower new solutions that will help our current and future vessels becoming greener. The candidate must also like to analyse complex data to make decisions.

Data Analyst Intern – Klaveness Combination Carriers

Klaveness Combination Carriers aims to be a progressive voice in deep-sea shipping and take an active part in the transition to low carbon shipping.  As a summer intern you will be involved in the work associated with these business ambitions and the company's development to data-driven decisions.

During the summer you will use data analytics to develop tools and improve procedures for use in the commercial operation of the vessels, business development and financial reporting.

We are looking for a first-year master student (4th year for integrated master programmes) within technology, engineering or economics. The right candidate should have an analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities and have an interest in shipping. The candidate should also have strong excel skills and have experience with programming. Experience with Power BI and/or databases (e.g. programming in SQL) is considered a plus.
