Graduate 2023 - Technical Safety & Technical Working Environment (Human Factors And Acoustics)

The position

Technical Safety and Technical Working Environment are important disciplines for both offshore and onshore operations. The graduate will be part of a strong team of System engineers who provides technical safety and technical working environment support to more than 30 offshore and onshore installations in Norway and internationally. 

Tasks are related to providing technical advice and services within:

Technical Safety:

  • Provide support to risk assessment, e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, TRA (total risk analysis).
  • Management of Functional Safety/SIS/SIL – develop robust and reliable instrumented safety barriers.
  • Evaluate and follow up the integrity of technical safety systems and equipment on our plants.

 Technical Working Environment (Acoustics):

  • Noise control to ensure safe and secure conditions with regards to noise exposure and acoustic environment.
  • Contribute to design solutions in project development and modification projects to secure safe and good work environment for maintenance and operation.

Technical Working Environment (Human Factors):

  • Ensure the application of human centered design process and principles to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Support projects in the design of safety critical and complex systems such as control rooms and safety automation system Human Machine Interfaces; follow up of operational barriers as part of safety barrier management.


You

  • Master’s degree or PhD with strong academic record within Technical safety, Fire safety, Process safety, Process technology, Industrial/ Occupational hygiene, Petroleum technology, Safety and Risk Management, Acoustics, Human Factors Engineering, Psychology (e.g. Organizational, Cognitive), Industrial economy, Simulation programs, computational engineering and other related technical disciplines.
  • No more than two years of relevant fulltime work experience.
  • Fluent in English and preferably a second working language.
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage.
