Hurray! The time has finally come. You can apply to Telenor’s Trainee Program! 

We are looking for young people, young professionals, you (yes you!) who have just finished a long journey with studies and are ready to enter the “professional life”. You now have the opportunity to gain experience in one of Norway’s largest (and coolest) tech companies!  

When asking students, 5G, broadband, internet, and mobile phones are all words associated with Telenor, and we agree, all of it plays an important part in our everyday work-life. However, we would like to show you more. 

Telenor will be continuing our digitalization journey. Going forward we will create the best customer journeys and together find new ways of work. Not to mention be number one within the security domain, continue the 5G adventure and create products that matter to people. This is a job we are not able to do on our own, we need you and we need the courage to change. Do you have the courage to change? 

Examples of tasks you can be assigned to are within cyber security, security product development, virtualization of networks, advanced analytics, 5G, artificial intelligence, product innovation, and other high impact initiatives in Telenor.  

We think you should apply if:

• You are in your final year of studies or recently finished your masters within technology, security, informatics, engineering, industrial economics and technology management, business, or entrepreneurship studies.

• You have passion for technical challenges and thrive to develop new insight.

• You are not afraid to try and fail (we actually encourage you to!).

Briefly about the program.. 

• This is a 12-month program consisting of two or three rotations. The position is permanent after the program. 

• Rotation could be within our companies in Norway, or in one of our foreign operations .

• Candidates must be a resident or hold a valid work permit in Schengen-area.  

• You need to be comfortable with communicating in English and a Scandinavian language.

This is a graduate position and formal experience is not a requirement. You are here to learn and develop! If you have experience from internships, part-time positions, or other innovation projects this is of course a benefit. 

Some practical details.. 

• The positions are located at Fornebu, Norway and the Trainee Program will begin in August 2023.  

• Application deadline is October 25th 2022  

• Final candidates will be invited to assessment centre at Fornebu 16th November 2022.  

• Applications sent via email will not be processed

Expected timeline:  

October 5.-25.: Application period  

October 26.-November 1.: First selection; selected candidates will receive an e-mail where you will be asked to complete 2 online ability tests  

November 1.-8.: Second selection; selected candidates will be asked to answer questions using a video solution 

November 9.-16.:  Third selection; selected candidates will be asked to participate on an assessment centre. Telenor will conduct reference- and background checks on finalist candidates   

December: Offers will be extended to selected candidates
