As a member of the Tolling Systems group, you will be part of the team who is delivering efficient future solutions for Low Emission Zone enforcement and electronic Road User Charging. We build our high-performance and high-availability systems on a mixed set of technologies with both Q-Free and Third-Party products. Key activities are system development for high-performance and -availability, integrating with sensors, cameras and image processing methods.

The AI team within the Tolling Systems group develops neural networks for in image detection and classification of vehicles. Q-Free sees AI as an area that will have a large role in the future of our system development.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing AI for different use cases.
• Developing neural networks for image detection and classification.
• Image processing systems.
• Realtime performance optimization.
• Integration with sensor systems.
• Industrial use of AI tools as machine learning and neural networks.

Experience in any of the following areas is beneficial:

• Knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models.
• Working with large data sets and writing efficient code.
• Modern versions of Java, C/C++ and Python.

We are searching for a person who:

• Has a genuine interest and good understanding of technology.
• Has familiarity with deep learning algorithms and use of AI/ML frameworks.
• Has good cooperation skills and seek solutions in cooperation with others.
• Is self-motivated with a will to work both independently and in a dynamic team.
• Has good oral and written skills in both English and a Scandinavian language. Other language skills can also be a plus.
• Has a higher technical education on Bachelor or Master level.

We are searching for both newly graduates and somebody with some years of experience. Working location is Trondheim, Norway, but you must be prepared to do some traveling abroad in periods.
