About the Unit 

Guided by our mission – to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet – we integrate sustainable Health, Environment, Safety, Security and Quality (HESQ) considerations into our decisions and everything we do. We are committed to excellent HESQ performance, thus safeguarding our license to operate. We want to be the best and safest company in our industry.    

The Corporate HESQ department is responsible for the governance, programs, tools and methods, reporting, auditing and follow up with regard to occupational safety and health, process safety, product stewardship and chemical compliance, environment, security, quality management, and emergency response and crisis management.  

Responsibilities 

Whilst the exact responsibilities can be shaped depending on your skills and interest and the needs of the department, below are some examples of tasks that could be included:    

  • Be a part of cross functionally work to develop global initiatives related to the physical and psychosocial work environment in Yara  
  • Participate in the deployment of programs, trainings and procedures within Occupational Health in Yara 
  • Participate in the in development of security, risk and emergency preparedness procedures    

Profile 

  • Student in your 3rd/4th year of study 
  • Fields of studies: Heath, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, Climate, Quality Management, Security, Chemistry, Psychology or similar  
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner in English, both written and verbal 
  • Great collaborative skills and interest in working with different stakeholders 
  • Thriving by working in an international work environment

As a summer intern at Yara, you will be part of an 8-week paid program that is designed around your skills, interests, and the projects your unit is currently working on.

Apart from your main tasks, the internship may also include visits to our farms and sites, team dinners, and participation in various social events.
