Astrup Fearnley Code (AF CODE) is looking for smart and talented students for summer internships 2024. We are a cutting-edge software development, IT management, and research company. We are a fully owned subsidiary of Astrup Fearnley AS with over 150 years of history and insight. Built on truly global roots, we are a dynamic and lean organization that seeks to spearhead innovation in the maritime and financial industries.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for students eager to join our team as either a full stack developer, data scientist or cloud & cyber security (SecOps) intern.
What will you do (full stack developer intern)?
During a summer internship in development, you will work closely with our experienced full stack developers building applications for the shipping industry. You will learn about Next.js, React, GraphQL, Node.js and Typescript. You will be part of an agile team that design, iterate and builds applications together.
What will you do (data science intern)?
During a summer internship in data science, you will work closely with our experienced data scientist, exploring the vast amount of ship data we have. You will learn about the Automated Identification System (AIS) and how we extract insights from it. We are using state of the art data science tools hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform, which you will learn how to use. You will build algorithms and analyze data to provide us with greater insight into the global trading patterns.
What will you do (cyber security intern)?
During a summer internship in operations, you will work closely with our experienced operations team managing our Azure cloud platform and Office 365 environment. Securing our data and applications, monitoring events and incidents. You will learn about Azure cloud management, Office 365 alert handling. Using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and several other cloud technologies.
