Two PH.D. CANDIDATE POSITIONs AT THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ECONOMICS AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

 

There are two temporary positions available at the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management as a PhD candidate for a period of three years of research work with the possibility of one extra year assigned for teaching and research-administrative duties. This is an educational position, intended to provide promising researchers the opportunity for professional development through studies toward a PhD degree.


About the position:

The department is seeking candidates to conduct research within our research areas. These include three strategic research initiatives and to research centres. The strategis research initiatives are:

  • Health and the public sector
  • Leading transitions
  • Green value creation/circular economy

The departments research centres are:

• NTRANS – Norwegian Centre for Energy Transition Strategies

• SFU Engage

The department is also seeking interaction with NTNU's central strategic research areas(https://www.ntnu.edu/research/strategicareas).

The project should be developed in cooperation with a potential supervisor or supervisory team from one of the sections, and a project proposal must be enclosed with the application (see below). The department is mainly looking for at candidate who has completed, or should be close to complete one of the department’s Master’s degree programs.(See Qualifications and Skills).

Research

Participation in, and development of, research projects in close co-operation with Norwegian industry, the department is also developing models, tools and methods for how to manage Norwegian industry.
