Heidelberg Materials Northern Europe’s strategy team is looking for a summer intern for a 4-6 week assignment during the period July-August 2024.
You will be given a specific assignment (business case) to explore and analyze using both externally- and internally collected data and information. Guidance and support will be provided by members of our 5-person strong strategy team, but you are expected to work independently for the most part. You will also be provided full access to a relevant set of highly skilled professionals and managers on all levels of the organization. At the end of your tenure, you will turn in a report with the conclusions and recommendations of your findings. This report will serve as a basis for defining the company’s further investigations into the business case in question. For the right candidate, this position provides a unique opportunity for top management exposure at a very early point in their education/career.
The ideal candidate is a second-year student in Industrial Economics who combines basic concepts of business understanding with technical abilities and keen interest in exploring a complex and interesting business model – with the view of potential employment in the process industry.
You will have the opportunity of learning to know the width of our business across the field of our products: cement, aggregates, concrete and precast elements – including the chance to visit some of our installations.
We are located in modern and appealing offices close to Lysaker station, which is well connected to Oslo city center by bus and train – as well as being easily accessible by bicycle.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
