Our summer internships give students an opportunity to gain unique work experience in our way of working and our culture in a buzzing, collaborative environment where immersive technology is transforming healthcare education and quality. The program lasts for eight weeks, from June to August, in Stavanger.
The Opportunity
Our internships are designed to equip students of all backgrounds with the skills needed to thrive in tomorrow’s workplace. Through immersive placements in various areas, you will gain hands-on experience and the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams. Whether it is working on developing high-tech life-saving products or assisting our supply chain and manufacturing teams, you will learn from experts and contribute to meaningful projects.
For Summer 2026, we offer internship positions in the following areas:
Software and Data, 2 options:
1. Software Engineer Intern – Digital Training Products (DTP) Team:
Contribute to mobile cross-platform development and help build features that support healthcare professionals using technologies like C# and .NET.
2. Software Development Intern – Deliver Sim Team:
Define and implement automated end-to-end test cases and enhance applications, gaining hands-on experience in software development with .NET and Python.
Hardware Product Development Intern
Work hands-on with prototyping, engineering, and needs finding in areas like mechanics, electronics, and product development.
Product Operations Intern
Help improve collaboration and decision-making across product teams by identifying process gaps and proposing solutions through service design and business analysis.
Business Insights and Analytics Intern
Support business decisions with data insights across sales, manufacturing, product development, and sustainability, using tools like Power BI and Databricks.
Manufacturing Intern
Collaborate with factory teams to identify and implement improvements, ideal for hands-on makers with a passion for engineering and prototyping.
Sourcing Procurement and Logistics Intern
Sourcing and Procurement: Work with procurement activities, supplier compliance, and sustainability efforts across our supply chain operations.
Logistics: Support logistics operations, including transportation planning, inventory coordination, purchasing and process optimization to ensure efficient supply chain performance.
What you will be doing
As a summer intern at Laerdal, you will be immersed in real-world projects that contribute to our mission of helping save lives. You’ll join a diverse, cross-functional team and gain hands-on experience in your chosen field—whether that’s software and data solutions, hardware physical platforms, product and design, business analytics, supply chain and manufacturing, strategic sourcing, or communication and marketing. Throughout the eight-week program, you’ll collaborate with experts, participate in team meetings, and contribute to meaningful work that impacts healthcare education and quality. Your tasks will be designed to give you valuable industry insights, practical skills, and a strong foundation for your future career.
