Argentum aims to deliver exceptional returns as a leading investment firm within Private Equity in Europe, specializing in the small and lower-mid market segments. We are currently seeking a talented candidate to join our investment team as an Investment Associate.

About the role

You will collaborate closely with our experienced and dedicated investment professionals, who will offer you guidance, support, and mentorship.

Responsibilities will typically involve analysis of the European private equity market, evaluating investment opportunities, and monitoring ongoing investments. Key tasks will include:

  • Analyzing investments in new funds, including assessment of strategy, team, and track record.
  • Valuation of existing funds for potential transactions in the secondary market.
  • Evaluating individual investments in connection with co-investment activities.
  • Maintaining contact with leading private equity players in Europe.
  • Market monitoring, project selection, follow-up, and conducting ad-hoc analyses.
  • Preparing market materials and reports.

As an Investment Associate, you will be fully integrated into the team and have the unique opportunity to take part in investment committee meetings, where your input will be highly valued.

This role involves some travel, so candidates should be prepared for trips as part of their responsibilities.

We are looking for candidates who

  • Have a keen interest in building a career in private equity.
  • Have a strong academic record.
  • Have completed or are nearing the completion of a master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business/economics, engineering, mathematics) and/or have up to two years of work experience.
  • Excel in both collaborative team settings and independently driven tasks.

  • If you are still completing your studies, submit a transcript reflecting all completed courses to date.
  • Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages is mandatory, as both Norwegian and English are the working languages at Argentum.

Location

You will be based at our modern headquarters in the beautiful city of Bergen.
